Cornell on alert after three reported assaults
TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Cornell University is urging students and staff to take every precaution after three recent assaults on or near the campus.
Police say a woman was grabbed by a man and sexually assaulted as she approached a bridge on campus early Sunday morning. Police also responded to two other reports of women being grabbed, one in a parking lot and another in an apartment.
Right now, police are looking into all three incidents.
Meanwhile, Cornell officials say students and staff should lock their doors and be careful while walking at night.
