Autopsy results released in death of Melissa Sherry
STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Steuben County Sheriff's Office says it appears there were no signs of foul play in connection with the death of Melissa Sherry.
Sherry's body was discovered off Manning Ridge Road in the Town of Campbell on the morning of August 31st. She had been reported missing a week earlier.
Preliminary results from the autopsy show no signs of trauma and nothing that would indicate Sherry died under suspicious circumstances.
At this point, the death is being listed as accidental, but results from forensic evidence are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
