Mosquito spraying postponed due to weather
OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- The weather didn't cooperate with plans to spray for mosquitoes in the Town of Hastings Tuesday night. Town officials were forced to postpone until Thursday due to the threat of showers.
The decision to spray was made weeks ago, but the town had to hold off on spraying because of a glitch in the process of notifying the public. When they do get up in the air, the plan is to spray the most populated areas and areas where there is a lot of recreation.
Big Bay and Toad Harbor in West Monroe will both be targeted. However, aerial spraying will not take place in Central Square because the village opted out.
