STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating a burglary at a landfill in Steuben County.

Police say someone entered a storage trailer and stole construction related equipment at the Hakes Landfill in the Town of Campbell. They say it happened sometime overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

While breaking into the diesel fuel storage tank, police say the suspects caused a large fuel spill on the property.
