BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Binghamton man has admitted to murder.

Alan Outman, 23, pleaded guilty to first degree murder in Broome County Court Wednesday.

Outman, seen here in a 2008 interview with YNN, admitted to sexually abusing then killing David Fillers, 21, in Vestal on New Year's Day.

Fillers was found dead in Vestal Creek early that morning after he became separated from friends celebrating New Year's Eve the night before. Investigators at the time said Outman and Fillers were not friends, but both men went to Chenango Valley High School.

Outman will be sentenced November 16th to 25 years to life in prison.
