JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- One person has died in a motorcycle crash in Jefferson County. It happened at the end of Oxford Street in Wilna Thursday morning, just outside the Village of Carthage.

State Police say Jason Roch, 31, of Croghan, was driving a motorcycle at an unsafe speed for the road conditions when he went off the road and crashed, becoming trapped under the bike. They believe the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, but it was not reported until about 6:45 a.m.

Police are still investigating the crash.
