Three more human cases of West Nile reported in Onondaga County
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The West Nile Virus continues to spread, with three new human cases now being reported in Onondaga County.
The health department says all three cases involve adults who were briefly hospitalized and all are recovering.
They also say that another mosquito pool has tested positive for West Nile, this time in Cicero. The trap was collected on Island Road in the Town of Cicero.
Health officials say with West Nile virus being this widespread, it is critical that the public continue to take measures to reduce their risk of being bitten by mosquitoes.
