SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- What better way to celebrate a Friday with great weather than with a cook off.

The Regional Market in Syracuse was host to the United Way's Tenth annual campaign kickoff cook off.

Businesses from throughout the county who take part in the fall campaign were showing off their culinary talents. From appetizers to entrees and of course, dessert, there was a little bit of everything for people to taste.

Now, if you couldn't take part in the cook off but want to help, you can still get involved.

"Those people that would like to help by doing a United Way campaign, coming out and volunteering or just helping us out with the type of things we do year round, we're glad to have them involved," said United Way of CNY President Frank Lazarski.

By the way, not only was the food over the top, but so were the booth decorations and costumes for those people manning the booths. Where else can you find the Cookie Monster handing out desserts?
