Arrest made in jewelry store robbery

CORNING, N.Y. -- Corning Police make an arrest in connection with a jewelry store robbery. Matthew Horton, 40, of Elmira, was taken into custody on Saturday. He is facing charges for first degree robbery, and second degree grand larceny.
Horton is accused of robbing Bong's Jewelry on East Market Street on Saturday. Police said Horton entered the store and threatened to shoot the store's employees. He was able to get away with $200,000 worth of merchandise. He is being held in the Steuben County Jail without bail.
