CANASTOTA, N.Y. -- A woman is in custody today after police say a meth lab exploded at her Madison County home.

Canastota police say they responded to a fire at a home on Kay Circle around 12-30 yesterday afternoon.

The homeowner... 41-year-old Angel Salisbury... said she and another person were manufacturing meth when it exploded and caused her home to catch fire.
Police say the fire was out before emergency crews got there.

Salisbury was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The second person fled before police arrived on the scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
