SYRACUSE, N.Y. – There is still no relief for drivers at the pump, as gasoline prices continue to rise. The average price for a gallon of gas in the Syracuse area rose two cents in the past week, bringing the average to $3.97 a gallon. That's 18 cents higher than one month ago.

The national average also continues to increase, with the average cost now at $3.81 a gallon.

Analysts say Isaac is to blame for the latest increase in prices, after storms prompted the shutdown of many refineries.
