ANNSVILLE, N.Y. -- The Oneida County Sheriff is asking for the public to help them in their investigation of a deadly stabbing in Annsville.

The Sheriff says two men were stabbed during an incident at the American Legion around 8 p.m. Saturday. One man, Joseph Andrewski, 26, later died.

The Sheriff's office says no one is in custody, and they aren't releasing any details about why the stabbing happened until later in their investigation.

They're asking anyone who may have been there to help sort out the details.

"When the fire departments and police agencies were responding to the incident, and arriving on the scene, many people were leaving. And there were a lot of people that we didn't get a chance to speak with. We're reaching out to them hoping that they'll contact us," Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol said.

The Oneida County Sheriff is asking anyone with information to call (315) 765-2737. All calls will be confidential.
