CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man convicted of manslaughter in a death in Elmira back in 2009 is now headed to prison for the next decade.
Robert Storms was sentenced in Chemung County Court Monday for the murder of Douglas Hubbard, 53.
Back in July, Storms pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter, admitting that he hit his drug dealer over the head with a frying pan during an argument in 2009, killing him.
Hubbard's body had never been found, but as part of the plea deal, Storms agreed to show police where he buried the victim.
Shortly after his last court appearance, Storms took officers to the corner of Hibbard Road and Post Creek Road where skeletal remains would be found in a field there.
Storms' ten year prison sentence was part of the plea deal that he agreed to back in July.
