CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- One person is dead following a car crash in Chenango County. It happened around 5:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of State Highway 80 and Reit Road in the Town of Otselic.

Sheriff's deputies say Martin Vansteinburg was driving eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle, over-corrected, and struck an embankment, causing the car to flip over. Vansteinburg was pronounced dead at the scene.
