Rome police shut down active meth lab

ROME, N.Y. -- The newly-formed Rome Police Community Impact Unit has shut down a meth lab. The unit was investigating a report of suspicious activity in a wooded area along the Mohawk River when they discovered the lab. Police say it was in the woods just off from Railroad Street.

The lab was active, and was safely removed from the area. No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
