ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Onondaga County Sheriff's office has charged a Brewerton man with arson.

Sheriff's deputies arrested Charles Bliss Jr., 41, for a fire that started in a detached garage in the Town of Pompey on September 8th, just after 3 a.m.

Deputies say Bliss broke into the four car garage on Cazenovia Street and set it on fire. They say two cars parked inside the garage were destroyed by the flames, but no one was injured in the fire.

Bliss has been charged with felony arson and burglary and is being held at the Justice Center without bail.

Deputies say this was not his first run in with the law. Bliss was arrested in connection with a larceny in Volney back in February.
