SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- If you drive on Interstate 690 west into Syracuse, you will need to find an alternate route.
The highway is closed between Thompson Road and Teall Avenue for construction on the bridge deck. The closure runs from 9 a.m. today until 12 p.m. Monday. After that, the left lane will remain closed for another week.
The detour is Thompson Road South to Erie Boulevard West. That will bring you to I-690 west at the Teall Avenue onramp. Plan for delays on Erie Boulevard as well.

-I-690 Eastbound closing Friday, September 21st at 9 a.m. through Monday, September 24th at noon for construction on Peat Street Bridge
-I-690 Eastbound closing Friday, October 12th at 9 a.m. through Monday, October 15th at noon for construction on Crouse Avenue Bridge
-I-690 Westbound closing Friday, October 19th at 9 a.m. through Monday, October 22nd at noon for construction on Crouse Avenue Bridge.
