UTICA, N.Y. -- A guilty plea from a Utica man who attacked a man with a sword.

Thar Kyi II, 42, was accused of barging into his ex-wife's home on Elizabeth Street and running toward her boyfriend with a Samurai sword.

Police said he missed and actually hit his own eight-year-old child in the head who lives there with the mother and their other two children.

Kyi pleaded guilty to attempted assault in the first degree.
