OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- More evidence of West Nile virus has been discovered in Oswego County.
The New York State Department of Health has confirmed that two different mosquito pools collected from the Toad Harbor Swamp area tested positive for the West Nile virus. The collections were taken before the county conducted their aerial spraying.
The county's public health director says that although the spraying was conducted, it does not kill all infected mosquitoes and urges people to still take steps to prevent mosquito bites.
