ONONDAGA, N.Y. -- One person has died following last night's one-car crash in Onondaga County.
It happened on Split Rock Road near Harris Road in the Town of Onondaga just before 10 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies say the driver was traveling eastbound on Split Rock Road when it went off the road, hit a culvert, became airborne and hit a tree.

The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Officials say the name of the victim is not being released until family members are notified.

The crash is still under investigation.
