SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After a tough loss to USC in New Jersey last weekend, Syracuse University football bounces back with their first win of the season. The Orange hosted Stony Brook at the Carrier Dome on Sunday.
They had a bit of a scare at the start of the game, trailing 17-14 at halftime. But, they came back in the second half, holding the Seawolves scoreless for the rest of the game, then winning 28-17.
The offense picked up a total of 549 total yards, and quarterback Ryan Nassib threw for 335 yards. The Orange will hit the road next week, taking on the Golden Gophers in Minnesota.
