COPENHAGEN, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County woman is charged with DWI following an ATV crash. Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home on County Route 69 in the town of Copenhagen around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.

They said a man at the home went looking for Charleen Wagar, 25, after she drove off on an ATV. He found her at the corner of Route 69 and County Route 161 in the town of Rutland, and took her and the ATV back to the residence.

Wagar was taken to Samaritan Medical Center with unknown injuries. Deputies said evidence is consistent with a rollover crash, and Wagar was not wearing a helmet. She was ticketed for DWI, unlawfully operating an ATV on a highway, and for not wearing a helmet.
