SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- If you're looking for a way to give back to your community, young or old, a volunteer fair is the place to start.

Destiny USA hosted the third annual CNY Volunteer Fair Tuesday to highlight the numerous non-profit and volunteer organizations out there.

Assemblyman Bill Magnarelli says that in this tough economic time, even not-for-profit programs are forced to cut back and can utilize any support made available.

Magnarelli said, "So anything that they can have done though volunteerism is going to save them money and allow them to complete their mission better."

This year's fair featured more than 50 organizations, including Vera House, ARISE, the Food Bank of Central New York, Meals on Wheels and the American Red Cross.
