OGDENSBURG, N.Y. -- Hundreds of people and about 60 local businesses came together in Ogdensburg Wednesday for the second annual job fair.

The fair, hosted by State Senator Patty Ritchie, comes at a time when St. Lawrence County has one of the highest unemployment rates in the state. But despite this statistic, both potential employees and employers were enthusiastic about the prospect of making new connections.

"Having the opportunity to have all these employers in one room and one area, to go from booth to booth to find what they are looking for and what's required, has been very helpful to them," said Ritchie.

Ritchie will be hosting another job fair next week in Oswego and expects another large turnout.
