SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police wasted no time making an arrest following a Thursday morning bank robbery in the city.

Police say Equawan Williams, 36, entered the Chase Bank on the corner of Lodi and James streets just before ten and passed a note to the teller demanding money. They say he got the cash and took off on foot.

Williams was spotted a short time later getting into a cab on Catherine Street and police say he was covered in red dye from an exploding dye pack mixed in with the money.

Williams was arrested without incident.
