SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- If you're traveling through Syracuse this weekend you'll need to avoid Interstate 690 east. The highway is closed at Teall Avenue until at least Monday afternoon.

Workers will be replacing the I-690 bridge deck over Peat Street. The DOT says it will continue around the clock over the weekend.

During the closure, traffic can get back on the highway at Thompson Road.
