FULTON, N.Y. -- An Oswego County man is arrested after police said he tried to meet up with a teenager he communicated with on Facebook. Neal Hart, 31, of Fulton, was arrested on Friday following a two-week long investigation.
According to State Police, Hart went by the username Ben Smith on the social media site, and offered a 14-year-old boy cash in exchange for sexual acts. The two were allegedly supposed to meet in the town of Granby just after 4:00 p.m.
Instead, Hart was met by State Police and was arrested. He faces a number of charges including attempted criminal sex act. Hart is in the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail.
