SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Firefighters made quick work of a fire at a Syracuse apartment building. It began around 4:30 p.m. at Maribella Apartments on James Street.

Officials said the fire started on a third floor apartment, and they were able to keep the first from spreading any further. No one was in the apartment at the time, and no one was injured. There is no word yet on a cause.
