ELBRIDGE, N.Y. -- If you enjoy the outdoors, Carpenter's Brook is the place to be this weekend. Whether it is learning how to trap shoot, paddle a canoe, or make that perfect cast into the water, Honeywell's Sportsmen's Days is the place to be.

The event was created as a tribute to National Hunting and Fishing Day. Thousands are expected to stop by and organizers said it's a great way to spend the day if you're looking for something new to try.

"It's a chance for them to actually try doing a lot of these activities. So they can try fishing in the trout pond, they can learn how to fly fish, they can shoot a shotgun to learn how to trap shoot, they can load a muzzleloader, try archery, try the crossbow. Things that they may not have had a chance to try," explained Steven Wowelko, President of the Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs.

Sportsmen's Days continues on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Admission is $5 per car.
