SULLIVAN, N.Y. -- A man had to be airlifted following an industrial accident in Madison County on Saturday night. It happened just before 6:30 p.m. in the town of Sullivan on Route 31 near Tyler Road.

Madison County dispatchers said a man was injured by an auger, which is a drilling device. He was flown from the scene by Air 1. State Police are handling the investigation.
