JORDAN, N.Y. - A local non-profit suicide prevention organization is reaching out to the community. Stand Against Suicide raises awareness about suicide and works to save the lives of those who see no other way out.

The organization currently has more than 30 volunteers, but they're always looking for more help. Since beginning in 2011, Stand Against Suicide has been working on community outreach and saving as many lives as possible.

"We're really just here for the community, for anyone that wants to come, wants to talk to us. We're providing a safe place for someone that doesn't really know where to turn to, we're here, and we want people to know that we are," said Kelly Blackburn, Vice President of Stand Against Suicide.

Stand Against Suicide is holding a walk next Saturday. That will take place at the Inner Harbor Amphitheatre. Registration begins at 10 a.m.
