UTICA, N.Y. -- Witnesses took the stand Tuesday morning in the trial of a Rome man accused of assaulting his eight-week-old daughter.

Jonathan Greener, 20, has been accused of five counts of second degree assault.

Tuesday's testimony included a 911 operator and paramedics who walked the jury through an incident in January when the girl was injured. One paramedic described the girl's broken right arm and heavy bruising on her leg when he responded to the scene.

Prosecutors allege Greener broke six of his daughter's bones intentionally mishandling her on multiple occasions.

Witness testimony is expected to continue Wednesday.
