UTICA, N.Y. -- A Utica man is facing an assault charge for a stabbing that put one person in the hospital. Jonathan McCurdy, 25, is accused of stabbing a man in the chest on Hillcrest Avenue early Monday morning.

McCurdy was arrested Tuesday and charged with second degree assault.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment and later released.
