Man charged after report of stolen Corvette
STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Steuben County man faces more charges in connection with a stolen Corvette. Darrell Hoad, 32, of Campbell is accused of selling a 1981 Corvette while it was in his possession for body repair.
Sheriff's deputies say he sold it for $1,000 back in March.
Officials recovered the Corvette at a shop in Caton last week, but it was in the process of being converted to a drag racing car.
Hoad was previously charged with grand larceny. He now faces petit larceny charges.
The incident is still under investigation.
