Part of Hiawatha Boulevard to be closed on Thursday and Friday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- We have a traffic alert to pass on to those who plan on traveling on Hiawatha Boulevard in Syracuse on Thursday and Friday. The city announced that Hiawatha will be closed so that crews can continue work on the Destiny USA pedestrian bridge.
It will be closed between Van Rensselaer Street and Solar Street between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday this week.
Motorists driving westbound can take Solar Road to Bear Road and from there to Pulaski Street and back onto Hiawatha.
Those driving eastbound can take Pulaski to Bear to Solar and back onto Hiawatha.
