CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. -- Three men were arrested after authorities say they stole three chainsaws from a residence in Cortland County and then tried to sell them. Sheriff's deputies say the chainsaws were stolen from a storage building on Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville.

Deputies arrested Matthew Schooley, 32, Michael Murtha, 23, and Jeffrey Craig Jr., 35. The three men are accused of pawning one of the chainsaws at a local pawn shop, then trying to sell the other two later. All three are charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and conspiracy.
