VESTAL, N.Y. -- A building that was constructed more than 150 years ago has gotten a new lease on life, and will be immortalized through photographs. Prestige Portraits by Lifetouch opened its doors at 2 Pumphouse Road on Friday, providing tours of the plantation house that has been turned into their portrait studio and offices.

According to employees, the historic quality of the building itself provides them with many more options for creativity when it comes to creating memorable portraits.

"This building is so pretty, and so beautiful that it actually is like a three dimensional set, so we do a lot of photography on our front steps, with our balconies and our double tiers," explained Rob Locke, Lifetouch owner.

During the grand opening, the studio partnered with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, offering free child identification cards for those who toured the facility.
