SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating an assault at the Burnet Park Golf Course. Officers said a 68-year-old man was golfing alone just before 3:00 p.m. on Friday when he was approached by three men in their late teens or early 20s.

They asked the man to use his cell phone, and when he said he didn't have one, they beat him with his own golf clubs. The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
