SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Any concern that the players who won the Calder Cup last year with Norfolk might not be as motivated in their new home in Syracuse was alleviated Friday afternoon when nearly the entire team showed up for an optional practice prior to the official start of training camp on Saturday.
