CAMILLUS, N.Y. -- There are new traffic markings on the roads in Camillus. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Carol Baldwin Cancer Research Fund painted a pink strip along West Genesee Street to remind everyone that finding the cure for breast cancer is impossible without research.
"It's in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Just kinda getting people together painting West Genesee Street pink in memory of all of those people that have died and all those that are going through it," said Jacqueline Baldwin of the Carol Baldwin Cancer Research Fund.
Painting the town pink will hopefully help raise the awareness throughout the month and show how far researchers have come in the fight for breast cancer.
The Carol Baldwin Fund worked with AmeriCu and Tops Friendly Market to sponsor the event.
