ELMIRA, N.Y. -- Elmira Police are searching for the suspect in a stabbing that left one man seriously injured.

Police say a call for a stabbing came in around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the Queen City Elks Lodge. The say a confrontation started inside the lodge spilled outside and ended in the stabbing of Bernard Loyd, 39, of Elmira.

Police say Loyd was brought to an area hospital for serious injuries, but is now listed in stable condition.

The incident remains under investigation and Elmira Police are asking anyone with information call Investigators at (607) 737-5614.
