Man arrested for allegedly selling pills, assaulting police

HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Herkimer man is in police custody for allegedly selling drugs and assaulting police. Officers first responded to a called around 5 p.m. Monday for a man attempting to sell prescription pain killers.
Police located John Bormann, 24, who authorities say handed over a bottle of medication to officers. But they say when they told him he was under arrested, Bormann attempted to flee, hitting the officers during the attempt.
Bormann is facing numerous charges including harassment and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He's currently in Herkimer County Jail on $25,000 bail.
