SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Billy Decker earned his fifth pole win for Super DIRT Week's main event, the VP Small Engine Fuels 200, on Thursday and will now try to turn it into his fifth race victory on Sunday at the New York State Fairgrounds.
Of Decker's four previous SEF 200 wins only one came from the pole position, in 2005. He also won the pole last year.
David Hebert, Peter Britten, five-time champion Brett Hearn, Bobby Varin, and Gary Tomkins also locked in their starting positions on Thursday. The rest of the field will be set by the Triple 20s races Friday night.
