UNITED STATES -- From the Carrier Dome to an aircraft carrier, the "Battle on the Midway" is still a go to kick off Syracuse University's regular basketball season.

Reports recently surfaced that a planned matchup between SU and San Diego State on board the USS Midway could be in danger due to a lack of national sponsors and limited seating. But SU officials confirmed Friday evening that the game will be played as scheduled.

The Orange and the Aztecs are set to face off November 9th at 5 p.m. Pacific time.

Ticket information for the game will be released next week and it will be televised nationally by FOX Sports Net.
