Orange win to kickoff Big East play

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Orange picked up their second win of the season, beating Pittsburgh 14-13 at the Carrier Dome on Friday night. The game marked the start of Big East play for Syracuse.

SU took the lead early, and managed to hold on the entire game. Quarterback Ryan Nassib passed for 185 yards with one interception, and SU scored a defensive touchdown on a fumble recovery in the first quarter.

The Orange defense managed to hold the Panthers to one touchdown and two field goals, despite giving up 346 yards in the game. SU is now 2-3 on the season. They had to New Jersey next Saturday to take on Rutgers. Kickoff is at noon.
