SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Four years after being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame former Syracuse University receiver Art Monk will be enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame this year, making him only the fourth SU player to be in both.

Monk was honored at the Carrier Dome during Friday's game against Pittsburgh as part of his pre-induction festivities. He says he was surprised to be elected to the College Football Hall of Fame as he thinks his college career does not measure up with some of the other greats who have been inducted, but he is not going to argue with the honor.

The College Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony is December 4 in New York City.

The three other former SU players in both halls of fame are Jim Brown, Floyd Little, and Larry Csonka.
