ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- One of five men arrested for their alleged involvement in an armed standoff with Syracuse police has entered a guilty plea.
The Onondaga County District Attorney's office says Michael Sherriod pleaded guilty Wednesday to first degree robbery and displaced firearm. He and four others were indicted after a woman was robbed at gunpoint outside her home on West Matson Street In May.
Police say a man put a gun to the woman's head and forced her into her home where three other men were waiting, with one more in a getaway car.
Police say the men demanded cash and jewelry and even locked the woman in a closet. She was able to escape and the men were arrested after an eight hour standoff.
