SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It may be the off season for the Syracuse Chiefs, but Alliance Bank Stadium is still very much alive.

All this month, the stadium is hosting a haunted house they like to call "The Carn-E-Vil of Chiefs-ville." The stadium's corridors are full of creepy creatures and ghouls and goblins. There are also scary movies playing on the big screen.

Chiefs' officials say they got the idea from other ball clubs and they hope it catches on.

"This is the first year we've done it. There are some other teams throughout minor league baseball that utilize their stadium in this fashion and it's something we thought would be a neat idea, a different way to use the ball park and we thought we'd give it a try," said Assistant General Manager Michael Voutsinas.

The haunted house is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in October. It runs from 6 to 11 p.m. and tickets cost $10.
