MANLIUS, N.Y. -- This campaign involves about 60 businesses in the villages of Fayetteville, Manlius, and Minoa, which are all included in the Town of Manlius. Shoppers can pick up passport booklets at the Tops store locations both in Fayetteville or Manlius. There are quite a few stores participating at Fayetteville Towne Center.
Inside the passport booklet, you'll find a description of the businesses participating in this campaign which lasts until Sunday, October 14th. The goal of the "Discover Manlius" campaign is to attract shoppers to local stores, boutiques, and restaurants within the town.
Shoppers can earn stickers for their purchases at select stores, which can make shoppers eligible to win "Manlius bucks."
The campaign encourages shoppers to buy local and return to the same stores.
"It's great because a lot of people don’t know what's in their area, and if they just get out there and they've got an outlet like the Buy Local campaign, they can certainly go out and meet new businesses, who can offer them services," said Mary Wykstra, Discover The Town of Manlius co-chair.
Local businesses are also encouraged to get more involved with the local chamber for efforts like this.
