Chase suspect now facing charges
TOWANDA, Pa -- State Police in Pennsylvania arrest a Towanda man weeks after he ran from police. Back on September 22nd, an officer tried to pull over Jonathan Butler, 34, for a suspended registration near Borden Road. He led the officer on a short pursuit, but did pull over.
Butler then allegedly threatened to throw chemicals used to make meth at the officer, and challenged the officer to shoot him, saying the container would blow up. He then ran into a wooded area.
Butler was arrested Thursday during a traffic stop. He now faces numerous charges including attempted aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and terroristic threats.
Butler was arraigned and sent to the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $175,000 bail.
